A beautiful bouquet immediately brings color, atmosphere, and luxury to your interior. The great advantage of artificial flowers and silk flowers is that they remain beautiful for years. But how do you ensure that an artificial bouquet looks just as vibrant, nonchalant, and exclusive as a florist's creation? The secret lies in the technique. With the right tips and tricks, you can easily arrange artificial flowers yourself into a breathtaking eye-catcher for the table.

Arranging artificial flowers requires a slightly different approach than a fresh bouquet, but it does give you total creative freedom. Because the stems of silk flowers are fitted with wire, you can bend them perfectly into shape.
Always start by preparing your flowers. Detach the stems and carefully bend the leaves and side branches out to give them volume. After all, a natural flower never grows perfectly straight.
When arranging, use the so-called spiral technique. This means that you always lay the stems over each other at an angle in the same direction. This causes the stems to cross at one point, which makes the bouquet naturally fan out beautifully and remain sturdy. Distribute the striking flowers (the eye-catchers) evenly and alternate them with finer filler flowers and greenery for a natural progression.
Unfold the flowers: Take the silk flowers and carefully bend the stems, side branches, and leaves out to give them a natural, full shape.
Sort by type: Divide the stems into three groups: the large eye-catchers, the subtle filler flowers, and the delicate greenery.
Adjust the length: Determine the desired height and trim the bottom of the stems with pliers, or simply bend the wire at the bottom.
Arrange in a spiral: Start in the middle with the largest flowers and place the remaining stems around them, always at an angle in the same direction, so that the bouquet fans out beautifully.
Distribute the greenery: Finally, insert the green branches and filler flowers between the larger flowers to fill gaps and give the bouquet a playful, natural structure.

The choice of vase is crucial for the appearance of your artificial bouquet. A vase that is too large makes the flowers drown, while a neck that is too narrow squeezes the stems.
When placing artificial flowers in a vase, you want to prevent them from sliding straight to the bottom or all falling to one side. Do you have a vase with a wide opening? Then create a grid over the vase's opening using clear floral tape. By inserting the stems into the different sections, they will stay exactly where you want them.
What also works excellently with artificial flowers is shortening or bending the stems. Because you don't have to cut them for water, you can simply trim the bottom of the stem to the right length with pliers or double the stem over at the bottom. This allows you to play with different heights in the vase, which creates a playful and dynamic effect.

For an average vase, 9 to 15 individual silk flowers are often enough for a beautifully filled bouquet. Choose an odd number of main flowers and supplement this with three or four beautiful green branches, such as eucalyptus, to add body and depth to the whole.
Yes, this is a fantastic trend. By combining a number of high-quality silk flowers with real greenery or seasonal fresh flowers, your bouquet gets a very unique and lively look. No one will notice that part of the bouquet is made of plastic or silk.
In a glass vase, you can decorate the bottom with beautiful river stones, shells, or hydro-pellets. This hides the plastic stems and keeps them firmly in place. Some people even choose to put a small layer of real water in the vase for an ultra-realistic effect, although you do have to be careful about the wire potentially rusting.

One of the biggest advantages of silk flowers is that you can switch them per season. Do you want warm tones in the autumn and fresh pastel colors in the spring? Then you need to store the other flowers properly in the meantime.
Before storing artificial flowers, it is important that they are completely dust-free and dry. Quickly run a feather duster or a dry microfiber cloth over them. Then store the flowers lying down in a long, sturdy box – such as the original Artifyplants packaging – or hang them upside down in a garment bag.
Place the storage box in a dry, dark place, for example in the attic or in a closet. Avoid humid areas and ensure that there are no heavy items on top of the flowers, so that the leaves and flower heads are not crushed and maintain their beautiful shape optimally.
